Commute
December 16th, 2009I’ve been working for Jay Maisel for about a week and a half, and already he’s starting to rub off on me. His famous motto is “always carry a camera,” and I’ve started doing that. My formal training was very commercially focused, and so I never felt the need to take photos while I was just waking around. But working with Jay, and seeing the brilliance he’s able to find/create when he “just walks around”, I’ve decided I want a piece of that action.
From now on, this blog will be updated much more frequently with photos I take throughout the week. Being employed full-time means I won’t be shooting many commercial jobs, so this will be my chance to relax and enjoy photography as an art again. I welcome any feedback, and hope someone finds something in them. Here’s the first round.
